Tara Parker
ABOUT Tara
Tara is devoted to conducting thorough, timely, and impartial workplace investigations. She has broad experience investigating circumstances with multiple claims, complex facts, and sensitive issues, for both public and private sector employers. In every investigation, Tara employs her 20+ years of knowledge and experience to earn the trust of all participants – employers and employees, complainants, respondents and witnesses – in order to discern how specific conflicts arose, individuals’ roles in those conflicts, and how applicable workplace rules and policies apply to each unique set of facts.
Her investigations have involved a wide variety of parties and witnesses, including extensive experience working with elected officials, executive and “C-suite” leadership, human resources professionals, law enforcement, and unionized employees.
Tara has completed comprehensive investigation training, including the Association of Workplace Investigators Training Institute (earning the AWI-CH designation), and coursework in trauma-based interviewing, anti-bias training, culturally-sensitive communications, and conflict resolution. Her investigative skills are further informed by the education and experience she gained as a social worker before becoming a lawyer.
Prior to founding the Clarity firm, Tara practiced civil litigation, clerked for four Washington Court of Appeals judges, and worked as a trial consultant on dozens of complex, high-stakes, litigation matters. This broad range of experience gives her a unique perspective on how complex interpersonal dynamics impact individuals, create risk for employers, how these matters can play out in litigation, and how best to mitigate those risks.
